Have landed safely in the sixth state of ten, South Dakota, and thus have made reasonably good time for the first day of three. Not much more from three to speak of, since this is a low-profile, low-power sort of update from a hotel e-mail station. None of you will have to hear me speak, horror of horrors that this is, if this trend should continue. That said, our first choice for the night was booked up, and we luckily managed to get the last room left at our current locale. For a rather expensive price, I might note. Hopefully tomorrow's vacanies will be better.

Plenty of rain in Michigan, hard rain, but no flooding nor strong rain for the rest of the drive to current location. So I'm here, safely, soundly, and certain people can stop worrying about whether they sent me through floods.

Reading my mind? :)

Glad things are going okay, and glad I didn't lead you into flood water!

Sorry about the hotel though, that first one would have been super cheap, if it's the one I had plotted out for you.

Safe travels the rest of the way, take some photos ;)

A night without links from you is like... a night without stars in the sky.

Glad your drive was safe, though. South Dakota's nice, at least in the Black Hills. It's too bad you don't have time, there's lots of neat stuff I could direct you to.

Have the best

Well at least you've made it halfway. Now you know what it was like for Big Steve & Trevor when they drove on I-94 from here to Katsucon years ago.

However, this is one thing I'm unsure of: Didn't you say you were gonna leave a box at my place to "donate" to the club before you took off? What happened with that?

Maybe I'm thinking of IkkasuCon?

Since I don't go west of the Mississippi all that much I'm not sure of the West Coast Con names.

*checks with Ask.com & pulls up this site:

Now I remember! It was only about a month or so before ACen and the only one that matches West Coast a month prior would be...

SAKURACON!

Now that I remember, I can make sure Al gets the info so he can go to the local Con next year (which would be cheap since he wouldn't have to get a hotel room, just drive there from home & back at night) and have money available for him to swing out for ACen...or at least have Sakura-Con in case he can't get to Chi-town.

Yay South Dakota. I like it here, even if it has been raining on us the last week.

Hope everything works out for you.

Well thanks for letting me know. I'll swing by the Lake o' Grass this weekend to get them.
