I’m twisting the thing that’s going around about leaving comments to get love. Instead, I’m charging you with the following task, should you choose to accept it:

Comment here and say something(s) nice about someone else/other people. Now, that can be me, that can be your other self, that can be some random stranger who helped you find something you wanted. Say nice things about other people. And if you have nice things to say about someone who’s already commented here, then reply to their comment with nice things about them. Or start your own chain. See how infectious this can become, and maybe, just maybe, see if we can’t build a really neat chain in some way. Of course, since I don’t get random stragglers, by virtue of not being a famous and published writer, actor, celebrity, or other individual that would get name recognition, this may not expand too far beyond my own bubble of contacts. But if we can, let’s see if we can’t play a little with this idea. Say some nice stuff about other people, named or unnamed.

To: The delightful man on the phone earlier today at work
Reason: You called me "love" in a sweet older guy kinda way, were very patient with my troubleshooting which involved trying three things that didn't work before hitting on the one that did, told me I was a star once done, and all in all were an absolute sweetheart, despite the problem you were having putting you half an hour behind deadline.

To the woman I had never met before, giving me the best chance I've had to attain the unattainable - largely on a whim.

Thank you.
