Yet more of the short form things that cross my mind at work, but don't really get much of a fuller treatment.

1) It would be such a boost to my work life if, every time I found something that someone was looking for, the little fanfare from Zelda games would play. For particularly difficult queries, perhaps the longer-form "Rare Item Get!" would be appropriate. There may also be occasional needs to intersperse the famous Square-Enix Fi*** Fan**** Victory Theme. I'd feel better about it.

2) The Harry Potter movie posters started dark and only got darker. For at least the major half of the books, Mr. Potter was a bright (lumens), if average (brains), person with a Prophecy hanging around his neck like an albatross. With OotP and HBP, sure, you can make some overtures to Twilight/Angel angst, but even then, Mr. Potter can't pull off the proper Dark Anti-Hero thing. (And DH's poster should have Riddle, not Potter, as the main piece, but that's just my opinion.)

i would love if the victory theme played every time I got something right in my life. Or as a ring tone. Both would be awesome.

That would be sadness, and I fear I would also have sadness, especially if it worked on whether or not you felt like you were succeeding or messing up. Hrm. Must need objective happy songs and the ability to auto-mute failure songs, if they happen.

Well, there are little recording things where you pressed a button and a sound would play. Those were usually lewd little thingies like farts or swears or something.

I'm sure by now, those come as 'do-it-yourselfers' where you could record your own sound. Get one!

Mmm. Merit in that thought. Although more gadgetry in my pocket might make it so I can't carry everything all at once.

Well, as I"m not a music fanatic, I've never invested in an mp3 player. Aren't those things supposed to be programmable with whatever music you'd like? Tap a button and there's your preprogrammed track? If you already have one of those, it wouldn't take any extra gadgetry then.

If not... nevermind then.

They are programmable, and I have plenty. Thing is, most of them do not come equipped with speakers, and thus there would be no way of playing the music. (Now, on something else I have, I could indeed do this, were I to find the right tunes available). Plus, while it would be nice, I don't think too many people would get the gag, and it would be awkward, unfortunately, for me to do it the way I would be able to now. Good suggestions, just lacking some of the ease of use. And I'd rather have it happen automagically.
