In an adventurous set of mind, I decided I would play a game where the only way to win, as it were, is not to play. Although it doesn't require me setting a machine to play endless games of Tic-Tac-Toe until it learns that nuclear counter-response strategies always end in worldwide destruction, it does require a very strange set of decisions to make. Namely, of a set of three, to decide whom would be fun for a fling, whom would be worth getting married to, and whom I would consign to the depths of a narratively-induced death.

Thus, I must decide the lives of Sierra (of Dollhouse), Riku (of Kingdom Hearts), and The Doctor (of whatever incarnation or multiple incarnations we like.)

Hrm. Well....

Sierra, of Dollhouse, if she comes with the technology behind it, is endlessly re-inventable into whatever personality one would like to sojourn with. If only the Sierra tabula is available, then the instinct there is Protect, not any of the ones mentioned. So we're assuming one has the Dollhouse's technology behind it. Although, knowing much of her backstory and having seen through the first season how the Dollhouse operates with its operatives, I still think that she, and her rewritable self, are best suited for flings, as she is "intended" by the Dollhouse. Marriage would be possible, but I'm inclined to believe that a certain amount of either guilt would win out on rewritings and/or the repeated brain monkeying would result in an Alpha-like breakdown, and you don't want to be the spouse on something like that. The only way to remain relatively guilt-free about the whole affair is to not know anything about it. Thus, flings only.

Riku, of Kingdom Hearts fame, is an antagonist at best, even as he turns out to have forged his own pathway through his Inner Darkness and joined Sora and Kairi in fighting off the Heartless and the Nobodies. His cool and aloof demeanor would make it difficult to maintain any sort of relationship, and furthermore, he still loves Kairi, even as he realizes he will eventually lose her to Sora because of all the time they spent together (and some of Namine's fiddling with their heart chains). He's a handy person to have in a fight, certainly, but his amorous skills leave much to be desired. Thus, since someone has to go back to the Darkness, it should be him, since he's familiar with the way out already, and he will likely gain further control over his heritage and his path through repeated immersion.

Leaving... The Doctor. All eleven known regenerations of him, anyway. The Doctor is capable of marriage, assuming Dr. Song is not running an elaborate ruse based on temporal data mining, and while many of his companions drop away and get replaced when they find their happiness, The Doctor needs a steadfast entity, one that can travel through time and be there with unflagging love and to act as his conscience. He has a lot of inner rage and sadness to work through. Unfortunately, this particular decision would be tempered by human mortality. Unless there were some way that the Doctor-Donna fusion could be stabilized, it would only be a life-span's worth of marriage, and invariably, The Doctor would be the surviving partner. That said, it would be quite a ride. So we think The Doctor is marriageable material, even though it might take a lifetime to chip away at the barriers so that he can properly grieve for everything he's lost so far.
