Well... I suppose I should update...
May. 5th, 2004 01:34 am...although my life hasn't changed significantly from the last part. Still no jobs, two rents, and a horde of problems. So what am I going to talk about? Well, there was a guy on a motorcycle today who did not exercise good judgment and darted in between two cars stopped at a light to get over into the other lane, a feat that earned him a honk and the finger. (I was not giving that finger, just so you know. This happened a couple cars in front of me) While the finger is not the best response to stupidity like that, I have to be fair and say that the motorcyclist earned some sort of remark about his lack of intelligence.
Day passed generally uneventfully... I did shirk a meeting to watch the second game of University of Michigan softball, and we won both of those games. Bad me. The Wings and the Avalanche are both gone from the playoffs, as is Toronto, so the NHL has some sort of parity that I think all the other leagues would kill to have.
Lightning is flashing outside my window at the moment, which is kinda cool. I love the after-rainstorm smell. (Maybe I am a water sign, after all...)
Surgery in two days. Hopefully, whatever it is can be fixed and I won't have to worry about it ever again. Although with the way my life has been lately, I'm not taking any chances or making any guarantees about that sort of thing.
torakiyoshi, we have the final update. Gimme an AIM when we're both on so that I can talk.
Reminder to self: Mark Russell is on public television tomorrow night at 8. Make sure it's watched or taped. Second reminder to self: It will work out, somehow, someway. Keep believing that, so that you don't spiral into a depressive rage and decide to take it out on yourself. It won't be worth it.
Yet again, off to bed, hoping that the morrow will bring better news. I could use some.
