In your own space, post recs for at least three fanworks that you did not create. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
These are the first three that I can recommend in the Yuletide collection. They will not be the last ones, but I'm crunched for time, as usual.
The Devil Went Down To Georgia...and for a lot more than what he bargained for.
Some Who Or Other explains, in Seussical verse, how the Whos discovered their missing Christmas, and then convinced a Grinch to return it all.
Mage #24 is all about what happens when your campaign actually goes well enough that the expendable squishy wizard doesn't bite it before you get to know them.
Of course, you could just read the Yuletide collection and get these and many more recommended works all at once. Especially with the influx of new people to Dreamwidth, there's a lot of space to go exploring.

Date: 2017-01-07 05:34 pm (UTC)I stumbled upon an interesting piece on AO3 that was a Galaxy Quest/Torchwood crossover with the TW cast in the GC movie and roles. Quite liked it.
Most recently, a couple of months ago my wife turned me on to a piece called Monstrous Fellowship, a piece pretty much of novella length combining Pratchett's Monstrous Regiment with Lord of the Rings. Very good read, I had it with me on my DC trip the week before Festivus. According to my book list, I last re-read Monstrous Regiment in '13, I could have sworn that I read it since then but apparently not.
I haven't read it yet, but I stumbled upon a story, looks like a quite lengthy one, merging Firefly and Buckaroo Banzai! Apparently the Serenity has HB88 appear in its hold, and they're able to make good use of Dr. Banzai and the oscillation overthruster to evade the Feds and Reavers and others. I should download it before I forget about it.
