Greetings! This is the Write Every Day Check-In Post for 24 November 02019.

I'm tired from today, which is to say that there was erranding, which was good, but also I was The Muscle for a few things that needed carting around and assembling. All went well, but I hit the wall while I was riding in the car and wandering around a few stores while others shopped. Some caffeine and sugar revived me enough to make it back home, where more substantive food awaited. As the logistics of everything goes right now, I won't be available to be The Muscle for the next batch that I would be helpful for, but I suspect I'll still be involved in one way or another in helping out when I am available. Whee. Did I mention that this week is also Feast Week?

In writing, before embarking on the long and exercise-filled journey, I finally finished that Grief post that I have been working on for a while. There's still more of them to go, of course, and it's a little interesting that it's taking two books to cover the events of one book, just from a different perspective that was apparently more involved in some interesting affairs while the character from book one was doing a lot of studying.

My brain has been skittering around too much to put words down properly, but I talked to someone on the local NaNo Discord (an EMT in training) about firelight, and I'm fairly sure of what the next words will be. Figured out another subtle twist, too.

I spent the day writing a final exam that I have to unexpectedly give early. Whee. THen I wrote like heck and got 2752 words and now I'm exhausted.

I worked on the Public Call fic, but as I still didn't know what I was doing, and a bad mental health day decided to land on me, I ended up defaulting. I don't like doing it so close to the deadline, but I realized it was the healthy thing to do. In a different situation I'd have asked for an extension, but I just didn't have a solid enough handle on the story to commit to finishing it soon.

Anyway, there was freewriting mostly to try to clear my own headspace a bit, not really for creativity, but I also managed to write 117 words of the novel, and that felt good, so there's that.

I added 415 words to the fourth fest fic on Day 24, completing the story in a stronger fashion than I'd been moving toward before I got there, if that makes any sense.

It should be good feasting, even if the preparations for it seem a bit daunting. (They always do.)

That makes perfect sense. Sometimes you're gliding toward and end and something EVEN BETTER appears and you use that instead.

Sounds like you've been quite productive. Yay for finishing this post! You've worked on it quite a while, didn't you? I lost track, the whole month so far is a kind of writing-related haze right now. *g*
I wrote 2,3k on the 23rd to win NaNo, and 2,4k on the 24th, of which 666 were for my NaNo project.

It's been a bit, mostly because other writing projects keep asking me if they could please get written first, honest, there's a nice chunk of plot and everything.
