My library program didn't talk a ton about this kind of stuff either, but we had bits and pieces, including that some of this is context-sensitive (both in terms of type of library and in terms of resources, etc. Academic library in a fairly closed environment where people are almost always parts of the university is obviously a different set of options in a number of ways from a public library.)
But just going "We're going to give him more chances to do the things he's been doing" is ... not a great look, folks. And not a good way to treat your staff who need to be in the building in stressful times for everyone.
