Sense, Nonsense, and Not-Sense

At that time, though, in the intervening years, there had been leaps and bounds of advancement, so it was probably time to buy a new machine anyway, everything in much faster clock speeds and new sockets and new bus types. I think we finally hit the plateau a few years ago. Clock speeds are still going up, but it doesn't feel like everything is reinventing itself so much that state of the art for today will be laughably obsolete within two years.
