Date: 2024-04-19 11:19 am (UTC)I realise that Lore Olympus is in the majority of books I read which I'd be equally happy to put in a teen or adult section, but wouldn't necessarily know which if I was in a position where I had to choose, other than to make sure the teen section had enough interesting books, or to follow the marketing categories. Although now I think about it, most of the books I like are genre books, which can be its own category: I think when I was a teen, there was barely any teenage category, but I moved from children's section to SFF sections.
I did hesitate over the rape plotline in Lore Olympus :( It had all the right emphasis I would want someone to be introduced to, but started with a lot of "who would believe me he did something actually wrong" which could be difficult way to introduce someone to the topic :( But I wouldn't exclude it.
