Sense, Nonsense, and Not-Sense

Young Adult has undergone rapid development and expansion over the last few decades to bring it in line with the available choices on children's and adult. As a genre reader, I also skipped up to adult from the children's section because YA at the time didn't have a robust selection of material available. It does now, and that's at least some part of why we're seeing a lot more effort towards censorship and restriction of that audience, including the argument that it's not really censorship if the materials get moved to a different place.

The rape plotline in Lore Olympus sounds more like "someone will find it to match their experiences" or "a person in my life is describing something that has parallels to this, oh shit, am I disbelieving them on this" rather than an introduction to consent as a concept through the actions of someone who clearly didn't seek it or respect it.
