silveradeptWow. Even with the magic of time-speed that emulation provides, it's gonna take a while to beat the Dragonlord. (Dragon Warrior 1, that is.) I saw, but he kicked me soundly. Needs more HP. Lots more HP.
Is that my postcard secret? - that I need more HP? Nah. There's probably better stuff than that around. Although that is an interesting piece of art - postcards with confessions, anonymous.
But there's no anonymity here - someone's put Jack Chick up to his own work, but with a different twist. Greek Gods Chick Tract shows just what happens if you don't leave your offerings for Zeus.
Ah, yes, another fun thing. If you know my University's Hockey Program, the fans at home games have a co-ordinated cheer that we serenade any opposing player entering the penalty box with. It's at best obscene, but it's a marvel to watch, even if you can't say it on television. So we get an e-mail forwarded to the trombone list from one of the section members. Here's the quote that make it funny:
"...we are disappointed that we had no positive response from students to tone down the vulgar language associated with the C-Ya cheer at the games with Alaska Fairbanks. In fact, we observed an increase in the volume and frequency of the profanity.
I am therefore informing each of you that should the profanity continue in the remaining games this season, you are subject to removal from Yost Ice Arena."
Well, if you knew the students here, you know that even with the threat of ejection, they're still going to keep doing it. They may continue to do it louder and more aggressively, just because someone was silly enough to say they'd kick them out over it. The hockey arena's going to be empty if they enforce that rule. And we wonder just where the person who sent that sits on the authority chain... It's a presumably unenforceable code, in my opinion - too many who'll fight it off to make it work.
That's something that's stupid.
This is something strange - Rabbit Hole Day. I encourage participation - it's tomorrow.
This, on the other hand, is Foolish. Beware the Fool, for he is usually Zen.
Unfortunately, I'm not-Zen. And not very awake, either. With work tomorrow, I need my sleep. And I'll be thinking up my rabbit-hole journeys.
