Had two today. The honors one was a little boring, although I did pick up some rather cool cords from it. Now I can decorate myself in several colors of the primary spectrum. Red, gold, and blue are all part of my entourage for tomorrow, not counting the silver that is on my mortarboard. Even so, What, me, worry? Especially not about miniature computers.

I will certainly say this much - I apologize for anything I might say in this post - I have had more than enough alcohol tonight to last me for a lifetime. Hopefully, in the morning, when I awake, I will be sober, and without a hangover of any kind. Drunken blogging is certainly a new experience to me, and I hope that I'm not sufficiently plastered that I don't retain some modicum of my intelligence. Even so, since I was slinging words around like polysyllabic while I was there, I suspect I'm a happy drunk, if a loud one (my voice is becoming a bit hoarse from my conversations). My apologies. I don't normally imbibe this much. Although right now I'm wondering how anyone could commit sexual intercourse after having had enough to drink that they feel as I do. I can barely trust myself to walk to and from the bathroom from my keyboard, and I wonder how anyone could co-ordinate their body enough to actually do that sort of thing with someone else, especially if they were also drunk to this degree. Must be the wonders of the infernal kind that permit such a thing to happen.

Found an interesting quiz. The first option has been changed to reflect my male gender, but the rest are unadulterated.

Funny things, that are almost accurate. I can even take the Lulu reference.

Today, for my departmental graduation, I had Ralph Williams drop by and stay through the ceremony and provide a few comments afterward. Ralph, Fucking, Williams came to my ceremony. I could not have been more honored by his presence. The man is incredible, and he decided to stick around at my graduation ceremony. Both my sister and I had a jaw-drop when he walked in and took a seat. He could have been anywhere else, and he chose to grace my presence with himself. Thank you, sir. I don't know if you fully understand the honor you conferred upon me by being at my ceremony and then staying around to talk a bit with all the people who attended. But you did me a far greater honor than I have ever deserved, and for that, I thank you.

So the last part of this engagement is that the last, mass ceremony is tomorrow, very early in the morning. Hopefully, I'll be sobered up sufficiently to participate. Right now, I'm worried whether or not I will be. Plus, since I ate the last of my breakfast cereal today, I'll be running on no food. Or a small amount of it. That will probably shorten my temper for the guest speaker, especially since the engineering college managed to get Larry Page to speak at their graduation, and we managed to get someone at Xerox. We'll see if his eloquence can overcome his seemingly less relevant status to the youth of today. By the way, a curious question - since I will be a not-yet graduated, on which side should I place the tassel?

EDIt: As of six a.m. this morning, I have been praying to whatever deity will hear me to stop the rebellion in my stomach that has been going on since four a.m. If things are not resolved by about 8 a.m. there are going to be serious complications - like having to sit through the commencement exercise that relatives will be attending. This is not good.

As of 7:30 a.m. this morning, the rebels and the government have (hopefully) agreed on a cease-fire agreement. If the government agrees to stop trying to send troops in to quiet the rebellion, the rebellion seems inclined to not throw them back out. We shall see if the rebels hold to their side of the agreement.
