The yay is for the padded rugby squad who were convincingly dominating over their opponent. They also got speculative help in that one of their opponents bit the big one and knocked themselves out of the race. (That's the hrm) A lot now rides on whether or not the squad can close out their season by defeating their biggest rival. If they do that, and the one team left that can take it outright falls to the interstate rival, then the padded rugby squad takes the championship by virtue of having defeated both of the other teams that have the same win-loss record as they will. It's a long shot, but it's possible...
Far more interesting things, however, are things like the marriage of the self, which sounds like an interesting affirming ritual. That, and the fact that I have a sense of curiosity (dull that it probably is), is an aberration of sorts. Compared to many of my classmates, I'm strange if I'm curious at all about information that is not job-specific.
I also now know that whether I'm sane or no, I might very well be able to fool a trained professional into thinking I'm insane just by being myself. (Admittedly, the DSM-IV probably helps to curtail the effectiveness of studies like the ones referenced in that article, but...) Maybe I do have credence to believe that everyone is insane in at least some way. Certainly helps me believe that my fragments might be just as sane as someone else's. Bottoms up, all of you - good night.

I do that myself. It's not a lack of curiosity - it's a knowledge that the class is required, and thus will probably have some pretty boring things in it.
