...nearly four hundred-plus entries, five days of internet life and comicry and forum-ness, and I'm finally caught up to the point where I started. Lots of things you had to say, didn't you? But that's okay - just means that your lives continue on while I go away from my computer. Always interesting things to find out on the 'net, especially when there's a backlog. Well, things like illegal prime numbers, Soviet Star Trek, ill-thought-out domain names, transformer costumes, Jesus apologizing for hoodwinking us about his death, Britney Spears as a pseudo-Lolita (ick, what a scary thought), beams of sizzling Mambo passion (other people may also want to look and see what the news broadcasters decided was an appropriate way of expressing themselves), and the like...

Odds say: Pick door #1 and then change to door #3? There's some funky relations going on here to get the odds they do. It makes some sort of sense, but it seems not to make any sense at all.

Redesigning a building to not disturb the fairies? Now that's interesting. And I'll bet the fae were very happy that the people were concerned about them.

Mr. Miyagi passed on over the weekend. Such a shame. Now we'll have to remember "Wax on, wax off" for ourselves.

Also, an attempt (and a rather good one) to impose order on Discordians by explaining what they do. Of course, the writer is aware that there's no way to do it and yet pulls it off remarkably well. If that made sense, or if it didn't, you may want to peruse TechnoSurrealism instead. Might be an evolution of theories and related other stuff, all very diverse in nature.

So that's all the stuff that I thought might have been interesting. Now, how was my time off? Relaxing. Filling. De-stressing. Saw a movie or two (Chicken Little is a very in-joke-heavy movie. If you're one of the people who never got read your nursery rhymes and traditional children's stories, it won't be half as much fun. Also, the third Harry Potter movie on HBO - some very serious shifts from the book, some of which I really popped eyebrows at.) and ate much for turkey and stuffing and food. Was just nice, not having things to worry about. More to come in three weeks, hopefully, as the winter break then gets to us. As of now, I'm not doing too bad. I just need some pages here and there and some assignments here and there and we're all good. And then it all begins again...

You want to know the positive benefits of sports on the younger generation? This is what sports teaches some kids. To cheat, hurt, and confront people aggressively. And it's not just the kids, it's the coaches, too. The win-at-all-costs mentality should stop. Admittedly, it's a small percentage, but a small percentage is too much.

Last, but certainly not least - more opinions on whether or not Christianity can claim itself to be a persecuted sect. On the opposing side, the hype is over-rated, and there's that bit in Matthew to take heed of. On the other side - The Christian Underground, which seems, much like many of its kin, to be engaged in not only portraying their brand of Christianity as being actively threatened by their moral opposites, but seems to insist that the majority of America has been whitewashed into following their enemies. (Waitaminute... that sounds familiar. I think both sides seem to think the middle is just blindly following orders. Whatever happened to a good centrist position? Or even better, the "You're both nuts!" stance?) Decide on your own - I wash my hands of it.

And that's all from my department tonight. G'night.

I like a good centrist, "you're both nuts!" stance. The problem is, people don't listen to you and kind of assume you're following them.
