Last week of classes in this period.
Dec. 12th, 2005 11:02 pmThaaaaank yoooouuuuuu. It's the home stretch, kids, and then we're off to the breaks. Although, according to this letter I found, things may be different this season. On top of that, the Northern Lights are shifting. Although peace and goodwill could certainly be used down in Oz, where apparently riots have broken out. The causes seem to be not minorities aggravated at their poor treatment, but S.O.B.s inciting violence against minorities.
Another strange case... apparently it's a death-row offense to engage in self-defense when the police break your door down, mistakenly thinking you're a drug-dealer. There's some fishy sorts of reasoning behind the conviction, stuff that makes someone break out in a sweat at the idea of a "jury of one's peers", where there may not have been anybody of the peerage on it. At least, nobody who might understand that the jury is often supposed to at least nominally consider the facts of the case, rather than be put off by the behavior of the lawyer or thinking about the economic affluence of the defendant.
For those who can't get enough of their coffee fix, there's now a way to get espresso gelatin. That seems somehow wrong.
Dante has absolutely nothing on the Nine Circles of Geek Hell. Problem being that I am destined for most, if not all of them. To pair with this, a sampling of the graffiti of Pompeii, proving that the Romans were just as dirty-minded as the rest of us.
So my last required class is tomorrow. Rock.

Date: 2005-12-13 01:17 pm (UTC)It also sounds like there's been a whole swell of politics around the case, designed to produce the current effect and to keep it quiet.
