Weekend over.

silveradeptTime well spent. After being prodded, I actually sat down and watched two discs of Firefly. I can see where it has appeal. The best way I've described it so far is that it's a Western. With space ships. That may be someone else's description of it, too, but that's the thing I'm thinking of.
Required reading manual for all persons, Discordian or not: How to be Pope. Although it's tailored to the Vacitan's Pope, I'm sure there's useful stuff there for all the Popes and Momes.
That strange little spectral Meld thing for me is hexagonal and diamond shaped shadows, in a tiled sort of way (the intersections of the greys make an extended X of sorts)
Or so. In what appears to be a dark pinkish colour. Meh. Pink looks nice when combined properly.
Been having fun, actually, so far. The major papers are spaced out this semester fairly well, and the weekly assignments, as much as they are a pain sometimes, they're doable. At least, somewhat doable. I haven't had major breakdowns or anything. This may change as I approach midterms and finals and all the really big papers, but for now, it's nice not feeling incredibly panicked. It's very nice, indeed. Tomorrow, let's see - full platter. Blood donation appointment, possibly followed by a long refereeing shift (could end up being the whole night - I just have to remember to drink a lot of water while I'm there and stand next to the vents, so that the few sources of cool air in the place will be available. Of course, I'll be sure to eat well before I go and to drink lots and all those other things. Meaning tomorrow I'm going to have to spend the morning doing reading, I think. Lots of reading. Or enough reading to make things intelligible on Tuesday. Which may mean cheating slightly and putting off one book in favor of other readings. If they're not too thick, then I can get it all done in time. I think I'll be okay, though. That's another one of those odd things - I'm not feeling particularly rushed on getting the readings done as I was last semester. Might just be better for me all around. If I've got extra time, maybe I'll do a little work, too. I'm just trying to stave off the "Must Do All Available Work NOW!" feeling I had last semester. So far, so good. Three months to go.
