Trenches are very sandy...
Jul. 31st, 2003 09:48 pm...or maybe it's all the stuff flying off the garage we're painting. Using the power sander is nice, especially when all the paint is flying off the siding. Priming is more than halfway done, so with my boss's help tomorrow, we should be able to complete the project by early afternoon. That would be excellent, as I got a nice-looking paycheck today. I also continue to find out that I have about $600 US difference between gross and net pay. Luckily, most of that will return in the springtime when the taxes are done, but that's nearly nine months later.
No worries, though. As things go, my universe is holding steady, but some of the friendly universes around me seem like they want to collapse. But I'm doing my best to be a pillar of strength everywhere I go so that they don't all fall in on me. You see, having buddies around to attract fire from incoming disasters is always a good thing. (Just kidding, people.) I think the bureauacracy Upstairs is trying to teach me a lesson about "You're life isn't that bad. Get over it."
And they keep driving the point home, so until I learn it, I think I'm going to keep running into new incarnations of it. Maybe that's my life lesson for my own incarnation. Hopefully, I'll get it right before too long. (Plus, there was talk about the apartment that I will be moving into. We've figured out furniture and stuff like that, it's just that the move starts right before the first game of the season... Farg.)

tkarrde98, the RIAA is getting a counterattack from people over at Pac Bell over their subpoenas to find music sharers... almost time someone decided to challenge them. Find more here.
