It's Friday.
Aug. 6th, 2004 10:51 amSo it's the end of another week. I should probably call home and ask for directions so that I can watch my high school band (with one little brother in it) perform the first iteration of their marching show for the year. Usually pretty good to watch them and all the other bands that are there.
I got sucked into another message board forum yesterday. Luckily, I'm better now, and the volume, while impressive, I'm sure, will be sorted out fairly easily so long as I stick to the threads that are within the first few pages. The rest can be cast to the darkness. I'm more afraid that I'll try to spend too much time on the forum, visitng every subsection (which generate tremendous traffic by themselves) and so lose what semblance of a life I had. Luckily, I'll have things like homework to keep me out of trouble. Which is a good thing, believe me.
So work today is being unevenful. Nothing to do, quite literally, but sit at the desk and wait to see if people call or come in. While the pay may not be the greatest, this job will probably assist me in the homework battles as well, just by providing time for me to do my homework. Yay.
I got back in the habit of reading Sinfest again, and the cartoons recently have been very "ha, ha, only serious" in nature, which makes them very funny to me, as well as being tools that manipulate my subconscious even further into Discord. This could be the ultimate anti-FLEET weapon.
Did I mention that CRFH!!! referenced the Great Goddess today? Where would Maritza have managed to pick up information about that?
And natrually, as soon as I make the comment about things being uninteresting, a bat flies in the doorway, takes a few laps around the collection, and then exits into the hall, much to my amusement, of course. Maybe the mention of CRFH did it. After all, Marsha's got batatoe-inflicted wings now. Thus, highly amused at the speed unto which the universe pounces on a joke opportunity, I resume my watchful duties.
