Saturday finished

What was the song about, supposedly? "Rainy days and Mondays always get me down". Well, they didn't get me down today, they got me wet. But that was okay, too, because I still had fun hanging out today. Actually, ran into sporklord at the arcade, and curse my absentmindedness, I didn't recognize him, even by voice. But he looked happy, and he had his boyfriend along as well. They were seeing a show at the Blind Pig tonight, which was cool. Did some DDR 5th Mix with him and enjoyed it immensely. Finished the exam today in the "f**k this, I'm not doing any more on it" sort of method. Tomorrow, I might concoct my cheat sheet of doom for the exam on Tuesday. That's the one I'm a little more worried about - it only lasts an hour, and if the midterms were any indication, it's probably meaner than the exam I just did. After that, though, nothing until the weekend, when I move into new digs, which means I have to pack... frag.

I'll figure it out, though. Most of what I have probably does actually, yaknow, pack, once I finally decide I'm going to do it..

There were also rainstorms today, of the kind that produced large drops and sharply-slanted rain. And downpours, and other things like that. Was a very interesting day today in terms of weather. Enjoyable, but interesting. Probably more of it tomorrow.

With many matters of military might, planned or no, a grain of salt is always useful to take when linking other reports like the following one. This one says military operations are already underway in Iran, using local groups and other means to inflict strife on the populace in preparation for a U.S. strike. Regardless of the very real prospect of it being utter suicide to engage Iran while still dealing with the mess in Iraq, it seems like something this Administration would do/consider.

The current record of the President is such that many are already starting to conclude that Geroge W. Bush may be the worst President in history. It's so bad that even elementary students are writing apology speeches for the President. One might wish that an apology could really be heard on the airwaves. Even if it's not an apology for policy or execution, but an apology for the way things have turned out. I don't think we'll be hearing that at any time, though.

Fraud.

Voter intimidation, vote manipulation, voting machines that managed to count more votes for bush than there were registered voters... and it goes on like this. All that and he only got a 1% majority.

Well, to be fair, when you're engineering vote fraud, you'd want to be as subtle as possible if you don't want to tip your hand. Thus, you employ the least amount of screwyness necessary, resulting in the least majority necessary.

I just don't understand how he was able to get away with it. I know the firts time around, Gore investigated and the 2nd tmie around, when Kerry went to (did he get it checked out?) everyone was calling the democrats "sore losers"...but...really, now.

And now we have these new digital machines? Yeah, wanna bet something crashes and we get screwed agian?

Republicans own the white house, both houses of Congress and arguably the Supreme Court. Then there is the fact that the Democrats are so incredbly spineless that they've just rolled over and let dubya walk all over them without barely a word of complaint, which lost them huge numbers of would be supporters who would have backed them in 2004 if they had raised a voice instead of cowering in a corner.

Basicilly we've either got to have a viable 3rd party or a revolution to get this crap worked out.
