Saturday done, Sunday to go
Jun. 24th, 2006 11:55 pmToday was doing fine - work was not hyperbusy, and the time afterward was enjoyable, and there was cake involved, as I ate a couple pieces of the cake
annaonthemoon baked for me for my birthday. (Which isn't for a little while - it was an early birthday cake) We were even having fun playing Worms World Party (sorry,
urbankotq, Worms booted up in the middle of the conversation, and I wanted to try and cheer
annaonthemoon up by showing off the silly things that the Worms do. No offense intended. I think, though, the data you seek is in my userinfo.), until she got a reply saying that the housing that she liked here in Ann Arbor decided that they weren't going to get along from the short meeting they had, and turned her down. So now it's a scramble to see if there's any sort of housing that can be obtained, even if just for the next year so that she can put down local feelers and get something good going. It's kind of not nice for that to happen. So, anxiety, panic, and stress have all just resurfaced. Not so good. Although, since I do work in a library, I know there's some classifieds that will be rolling in on tomorrow's news that she can pore through. This has not been easy for her, with a lot of roadblocks in the way. Hopefully, they clear up and out in time.
You know, I'm not really a good entertainer or host - I don't know enough things going on in the town to do, and I don't have a whole lot of things on hand for people to do while they're here. It's not by design, but I'm just not really good at entertaining people. Well, maybe I'll get better with time, and with a place that can actually entertain, rather than just a room.
annaonthemoon has told me she's got cabin fever of sorts. I just don't have anything to really do.

BLUES are motivated by INTIMACY, seek opportunities to genuinely connect with others, and need to be appreciated. They do everything with quality and are devoted and loyal friends and employers/employees. Whatever or whomever they commit to are their sole (and soul) focus. They love to serve and will give freely of themselves in order to nurture others lives. BLUES, however, do need to be understood. They have distinct preferences and occasionally the somewhat controlling (but always fair) personality of a confident leader. Their code of ethics is remarkably strong and they expect others to live honest, committed lives as well. They enjoy sharing meaningful moments in conversation as well as remembering special life events (i.e., birthdays and anniversaries). BLUES are dependable, thoughtful, nurturing, and can also be self-righteous, a bit worry-prone, and emotionally intense. They are like sainted pit-bulls who never let go of something once they are committed. When you deal with a BLUE, be sincere, make an effort to truly understand them, and truly appreciate them.

In other quiz-like things, I am apparently one part Albus Dumbledore, one part Remus Lupin, and one part Hermione Granger (with Sirius Black, Ron Weasley, and Harry Potter not too far behind). Also, I was apparently mistaken in terms of my sorting house, as the Personality Lab Quiz puts me in Hufflepuff (78 score) over Ravenclaw (70 score). Although some of those questions are a little more problematic than others, like my opinion of my own attractiveness. I don't think it monkey wrenches the score, but it probably influenced it some.
Ah, well. Off to bed we go, then. This time, we'll get up in time to go to our meditation. I think I can use one right about now.
