silveradept: Mo Willems's Pigeon, a blue bird with a large eye, flaps in anticipation (Pigeon Excited)

Had fun with [livejournal.com profile] greyweirdo, [livejournal.com profile] droewyn, and [livejournal.com profile] hollygrahm, and Da Mama and Da Papa at the Michigan Renaissance Faire today. Lots to look at, even so much as watching the idiots do their very best to put on a dangerous show (and they did a great job of it - all they had to do was take it one step further). Ended up watching Hellraiser (the first) afterwards - lots of gore, not much for horror.

There was also that padded rugby game today, too. And it was a beauty! Figures that the game would be like that on the first away trip that I couldn't be at. Putting up 47 on the second-ranked team is an achievement and a half. Grats, players. Nice sporting. ([livejournal.com profile] greyweirdo noted that despite media efforts, the fact that there aren't more college players in deep trouble for one reason or another says something good about student athletes.)

MIT helps to build a cell-shaped building in China. Novelty in architecture again from the campus of MIT - I think it's a good idea to see this kind of building being built. No need to muck it up with being good Feng Shui - I just think people want to see buildings that aren't glass and steel towers. Hopefully, we see more good architecture in the future.

A long list of very thoughtful pieces and links to consider - it's time for the 43rd Skeptics' Blog, where there's a lot to see and do, although be careful - it's sad puppy eyes edition, and so it could very well be a little heart-tugging. The links in them, however, are worth reading.

Last remarks for tonight:

It's a fill-in-whatever-blanks you like thingy.

#7: I should really read, before I post something...
I'm not really sure. I guess you'll be pretty wise by then, because you're already a deep thinker. Location or jobwise? I can't think of anythign right now.
