...so today I turned in my last paper. Tomorrow, I will take my first exam. Shouldn't be too difficult, I think. Okay, I hope. But from there, it's fairly clear sailing into next week, where I have two exams that I'm much more worried about than the one tomorrow. From there, it becomes the mad quest for work.

Anyway. Today had a random, stop-and-think-bout-it moment into it. I was on my way to my first lecture, an as I tend to do when I know I have people trailing me, I held the door for a gentleman. He seemed a bit surprised at the gesture, but recovered quickly with a beautiful ploy. He noticed the two women who were trailing him, and said, "After you." to them. I think I shocked him a bit with my behavior. What I'd like to know is whether he suddenly remembered something that his mother (or father) had told him to do, and watching it happen was the shock, or that a gentleman holding doors was some antiquated notion in his mind, and to see someone actually doing it was a shock to his view of reality. Either way, his recovery was very smooth and he reciprocated the favor for the second door on the way in. Opinions? Cause if it was closer to the second option, then something's definitely not right with the generations around me today, including my own.

So tomorrow I get to help choose the next drum major of my band. It should be a very interesting occasion. Hopefully, I also get my basketball band money, because I may need it to help my checkbook out enough so that I can sign the lease for the place I'm living next year. Should be a lot of fun living at that place.

Not to ask another stupid, random question of my journal, but is the whole being depressed thing generally a seasonal problem, since in my friend circles and on the friends list here, it tends to come in cycles. Does it have something to do with the hormonal thing I mentioned earlier?

Tomorrow's the last day of classes! From there, no more worries about lectures... too bad, to some degree, because the schedule I have was pretty sweet for this semester. The profs were good, as well. Oh, well. Next year, I get to stare the monster that is Thesis down and hopefully emerge victorious in the battle. This, plus other classes and the whole marching band thing, means next fall and winter could be the make or break season of my whole college career. Isn't that scary?

Oh, well. Should continue to study for exam tomorrow. Thos bluebooks don't write themselves, ya know.
