Good Chaos?

Someone's made a Master's Presentationout of Discordianism, the Subgenius, and the Cult of Cthulhu. Pretty well done, I must admit, especially since he seems to be concentrating on them as social (dis)organizations instead of trying to figure what the people in them might believe. Trying to do that would be an exercise in futility.

And the really good bit, Anarchism vs. anarchism. Trust me, read it and you'll understand.

So why am I leading with the stuff that I think is fit for spreading? (liberally borrowed from other sources like 23 Apples and DRT)

Well, because today was pretty uneventful for me, other than the shopping that I did. Roommate S will be moving out sometime either this week or next. So I won't even have the roommates to banter about witty things with. In other words, this non-interesting crud is probably going to be the content of my entries for a little while. It will probably get better when I move into a house with roommates at the end of the month. So forgive my boringness, please. Of course, having said that, there will be interesting things for me from here until I move in or scream "Enough already!" But that's what makes life - the constant struggle between being taken too metaphorically and too literally by the Universe.

As interesting as the master's presentation sounds, I'ma have to label it tl;dr for now. Perhaps another time. I'm wondering why they'd put Discordiansism and SubGenius in the same group as a Cthulhu cult. I don't know anyone who is actually IN a Cthulhu cult. I don't think I'd like to, either. As much fun as Lovecraft is, I draw the line at nameless rites to blasphemous eldritch entities that have seeped down from the stars.

That reminds me, I was going to take one of my old Blue Lakes shirts and write on it "Randolph Carter is so dreamy..." I should get on that.

...well, he was talking abour the relatively (dis)organized structure of Erisians and SubGenii. Maybe the Cthulhuvians are a control sect of some sort, since they often come in through things like RPGs and progress farther into toward the peoples you might be thinking of. So they have more structure/order than the others, but are still apparently disordered enough to count.
