So I helped move in Lil' Sis into College today. Probably was the fastest move I've ever done. But now she's settled in just one town over from me, and ready to begin her band camp. (Mine starts Friday, technically, but Thursday, really) So my last work shift for two weeks happens tomorrow. After that, I've got to bang out my schedule so that I can settle into a different rhythm of working. Band week will be tough, but I think I can get through it. I have all the other ones.

Reminder to self - after work, shave off the facial hair. You'll thank yourself for it in band week. Keep it shaved. It will be to your benefit. Second thing - practice, you sorry S.O.B, as soon as you get the instrument.

From the fine folks at Pocket Otaku, a link to an interesting offer: The Time Travel Fund. It being $10, I wonder whether it would be worth the investment. Might be worth the $10 to get the certificate, and if it comes to pass, hey, who knows?

If you remember the penguin game a while back, someone modded it. PO linked to a much bloodier and mine-filled version of it, available here.

We snicker greatly at this article. It proves that the 'Net can be useful for leveling the playing field. True, it might also be aiding terrorists (government-authorized or otherwise), but I find it somewhat humorous.

While older, this article about Rapture Politics makes you wonder whether or not someone really is trying to bring about an apocalypse, either by direct effort or direct indifference.

Either way, off to bed with me. I'll sleep soundly, right up until my roommate wakes me from sleeping through my alarm by saying that my alarm is going off.

Hmm...

Self: There are advantages to living close to the band hall. You can hear the music as it's being practiced. Of course, the disadvantage is that you can hear the drumline when they practice as well. Two sides to every Schwartz and all that. After tomorrow, the bando stuff begins in earnest. We'll see how the knee holds up under the pressure.

Random factoid: It is apparently possible to actually 5p34|< L33T, according to [livejournal.com profile] torakiyoshi's journal, for he claims a successful trial between himself and [livejournal.com profile] sporklord. I'm not sure this is a good thing for humanity.

For those musically inclined (or those looking to play an interesting trick on someone), check out the stuff they have at this site: It's the Case of the Missing Fundamental. I think you'll enjoy it.

Make sure that you watch Super Mario Reloaded. Do eeet. It's great. (Think Burly Brawl meets SMB. Even if you don't know either of those, it's still worth a look.)

The Bed calls us. Sleep, it says. But I might buzz a bit more on my mouthpiece before I go to the bed. Tomorrow's the first day I might be able to sleep in, and it will be the last day I can sleep in for many, many days.

Reminder to Self: Instrument Checkout at 5. Organizational meeting at 7. Don't miss either, lest you perish before you start.
