End of week special!
Jul. 9th, 2005 12:02 amOr something like that. I drew a bit today, taking a character and trying to construct a new pose. I even coloured it in. It didn't turn out like a Kincaid masterpiece, but even then, I'm okay with it. I can see where things need improvement. I might send it along anyway to the person who created the character. If he wants to, he can display it - if not, he can probably draw it better and use that. Still, it's progress. I've used a reference, but I wasn't trying to copy the exact pose. As always, I need more practice. Especially on bodies and arms and hands and legs and everything. Oh, well. A step closer to whatever it is that I'm aiming for.
I think some of my technological friends will like this idea - someone's made a backpack to convert high-speed cellular signal into a Wi-Fi hotspot. A mobile spot, wherever there's a signal. That's pretty cool. If you like something a little more surrealistic, try this on for size - scientists unveiled a design to build a robot Phillip K. Dick at NextFest... or was it a prototype... anyway, the reconstruction of the author could very well prove that we are living in one of his novels.
In science (SCIENCE!), there may be another HIV development - a new drug type that reacts to the cells that can be infected. Promising material, and supposedly little to no side effects. Watch it closely. Hopefully this turns out to be effective. And that it also gets marketed generically and cheaply to the places that need it.
If you're hungry, why not pop over to the place that serves a five-pound burger? With fries, no less. Feeds eight, according to the people, but if anyone can down it all themselves within a set amount of time, the burger's on them. Considering that the less-than-one pound burgers can fill me up with their fries, I have no idea how it would be possible to stuff down a five pound burger. Ask Kobiyashi, I guess - I think he ate about forty-two hot dogs this year.
Bah - I'm turning over a few things in my head as well as trying to plot strategic moves for the games I'm playing. Mental clutter, all of it. Maybe if an answer presents itself, I'll figure it out. Sleep helps with that.
